Liberty was born from a simple truth: women deserve to be seen. Too many of us spend years behind the scenes—raising families, building businesses, holding it all together—and somewhere along the way, we forget ourselves. Liberty is here to change that. Every photoshoot is more than images; it’s an experience of liberation, a reminder of your beauty, strength, and story.
Your Liberty shoot isn’t posed—it’s personal. I saw early on that the more deeply I knew someone, the easier it was to tell their story in an image. How can you capture a soul without knowing its laughter, tears, and rage? I wanted to honour the wins you never stopped for, the chapters you survived, the countless ways you kept showing up even when no one noticed.
Then, quite by accident, a bright little lady named Beth held a women’s circle for the team. Everyone was in tears—it was the beginning of a new layer. With my background as a breastfeeding volunteer trained in counselling, active listening, and group dynamics, we decided to add a circle to every shoot.
I had already built Dimples & Daisies in 2013 and loved it, but there was an uncomfortable feeling of bopredom I couldn’t ignore. In 2014, I dragged six women to a lavender field on the summer solstice, not knowing it would change everything. Two weeks later, twenty women turned up for the same shoot. I realised this was bigger than me. Liberty was never just about photographs—it was about women who had gone unseen for too long, finally stepping back into the frame. My first Liberty shoot wasn’t just theirs—it was mine too. For the first time, I felt celebration in my body.
The flow was electric, addictive and it shook me back to life. You can't vibe that high though and expect life to stay the same, within a year my marriage was over, I was free, terrified and could build anything I dreamed of...
Becoming a Liberty Photographer is more than taking photos—it’s building a business that transforms lives. You’ll learn how to run a successful photography brand with time freedom, while also gaining the skills to lead women’s circles, hold group dynamics, and create shoots that feel like celebrations of liberation. This isn’t just a career—it’s the most empowering job in the world: helping women see and celebrate themselves.
Dozens of women became hundreds, then thousands. Shoots became not just photography, but a rite of passage.
Holly joined, we staffed and the roots began to grow. We found a studio at the end of the year...
The first Liberty shoot: 6 women, a lavender field, a spark that became a movement. Weeks later, 20 women came. Liberty was born.
Dimples & Daisies began, capturing motherhood and women in their everyday magic. Something was missing...
“I realised Liberty was never just a studio—it was a platform. The dream of holding space for other people’s dreams lit me up again.
The company flatlined, and I almost walked away. But in that stillness, clarity arrived.
We chose to scale back, to breathe, to come home to what mattered most.
We scaled quickly and took on too much, learning the hard way that bigger isn’t always better.
Liberty goes global, with women stepping into the frame in cities and circles far beyond the UK.
The Liberty trademark is published, and we proudly train 15 Liberty Photographers—turning vision into a growing sisterhood.
We expand shoots to Paris, London, and Wales, and the Liberty trademark is officially approved—a new chapter of protection and possibility.
The first four Liberty Photographers join across the UK. What began as one woman’s ache to be seen is now a movement—and a new beginning.
