Hollyโs story with us started over a decade ago. She came to me and asked for a guaranteed ยฃ300 a month. I told her honestly, โI canโt promise anything. But I promise Iโll try everything I can to make it work.โ
At the time, I was running my family photography company, Dimples and Daisies. Holly wasnโt sure whether to leap, but fate had other plans. A fortune teller told her she should. That same night, she went out for a Chinese, cracked open a fortune cookie, and inside it read: โYour lucky flower is a daisy.โ That was all the sign she needed.
Ten years, two more children, and countless shoots later, Holly had become pivotal in the success of both Dimples and Daisies and Liberty. Women adored her, and she adored them right back. With her natural eye and enormous creative flair, Holly took to photography not just like a duck to water โ but like a woman born to do it.
Along the way, she picked up a few of my manifesting habits (as you do when you hang around Liberty long enough). And as much as we tried to make it work, Holly eventually outgrew the nest. Thatโs what happens when youโve got wings โ you fly.
She went on to carve her own space, becoming known online as The Body Positive Mum, with over 250k Instagram followers, brand partnerships, and a community of women who feel seen because of her courage to show up fully. The belly she once rejected became her superpower, and she now helps women all over the world reclaim the same love for themselves.
Through it all, weโve remained the best of friends. Weโve had more awkward conversations with each other than weโve ever had with our partners (and survived them all), because we always had one shared goal: protect the friendship first.
And thatโs the magic โ sometimes the people who walk into your life on a whim, a whisper, or even a fortune cookie end up changing everything.
