‘I don’t know how to pose’

You Don’t Need to Be Confident — You Just Need to Show Up!

I know that making this decision is scary — but your whole world will shift when you choose to do this for yourself.

One of our most common “concerns”? Women believing they have to be great in front of the camera. Every now and again, we get a unicorn through our doors — a woman who’s always been able to work it — but honestly, 99% of women are awkward AF in front of the camera.

The truth: you don’t need to be confident before your shoot. Confidence isn’t the entry ticket — it’s the result.

At Liberty, you will never be left to fill in the gaps. We micro-manage your every move — every muscle on your face, every breath, the height of your shoulders, every glance. We do not need you to be a model. We just need you to show up for yourself.

Most women arrive saying they’re nervous, not photogenic, or that they’ll probably freeze. That’s doesn’t mean you can’t take a good photo — just that no one has for a while and you’re conditioned to shy away. We’ve been taught to shrink, to take up less space, to apologise when we finally do. What happens in a Liberty shoot is the great undoing of that.

The Feminine Isn’t Something You Earn — It’s Something You Remember

One of the things I am fiercely passionate about when I’m training other photographers is never, ever telling a woman to “try to look less [insert PA insult here].” It is NEVER the woman’s job to look like anything other than who she is.

It is our job — as photographers, as guides, as witnesses — to extract the magic that you’ve been hiding because of a belief you picked up when you were ten. The belief that shining makes you too much. That confidence is arrogance. That showing off is shameful.

But: when you finally get past that — let’s call it what it is — shame — and start letting that radiance leak out of you, everything changes. Not just when nobody’s looking. Not just when life is perfect. But when things are messy and real and you’re still choosing to show up.

That’s when you meet her — the version of you who’s urging you to win.
She’s been there all along.
She’s the one who’s smashed every glass ceiling so far, and she’s the one who’ll keep smashing more.

You Deserve to Shine

Extracting the shine — that’s our job. Your job isn’t to come confident, or thinner, or ready.
Your job is simply to come. To make time for you.

And if you’re wondering what that feels like — imagine this:
You hand over control. For two whole hours, you forget the world. You stop performing. You stop pleasing. You just be. A bit like a gym class but make it art.

I’m bossy (in the best way).
You know when you go to a gym class and hand your body and mind over to someone for 45 minutes? Same thing. Except this time, there’s no pain — just a few funny positions-ok some pain, a lot of laughter, and the most euphoric, grounding peace in your body.

You’ll leave your shoot feeling high on self-love and rooted in who you are. You’ll remember what it feels like to live in your body — not against it.

Because this isn’t just about photos.
It’s about finally making peace with you.

The Invitation

So if you’ve been thinking about it, stop waiting for “ready.”
You don’t need to lose the weight, build the confidence, or wait for the perfect timing.

Do it now.
Do it for you.
Do it because your body — your story — deserves to be celebrated.

Book your Liberty shoot today, and let’s rewrite how you see yourself. That one decision shifts your whole universe.
